Beam Layout Welding Instructions

What are the types of connections in steel structure

Beam layout welding, as well as fabrication machines, are auxiliary equipment. As such, their weight is too much for regular workers to carry. For those who don't know, electron beam welding is a method of welding where electrons are generated at high speeds by the use of electric field.

An Automated Structural Steel Beam Welding System enables structural steel fabricators to use a fully automated robotic welding system. It's compact, has complete robotic automation and integrates with the appropriate software. All sizes can now use robotic welding to solve welding production problems.

Beam layout welds and fabrication machines are auxiliary items, which means that they would be too heavy to transport for a regular worker. For those not in the know, electron beam welding refers to a welding technique where the electron gun generates the electrons at maximum speeds through the useof electric fields.

An Automated Structural Steel Beam Welding System can be described as a robotic welding machine that is specifically designed for structural steel fabricators. It offers a compact footprint, complete robotic automation, and integration with specialized software. The robotic welding solution can be applied to any size fabrication shop.

Beam Layout Welding Equipment

Beam layout welding doesn't only involve manual welding; an H beam fabrication machine or line can actually work on multiple H-beams simultaneously. It is a flat-laid machine that feeds long uncut plates. It also handles the welding of each individual plate to create the design requested by the client.

The tacking fixture can be used to assemble the beam before it is sent to the Main welder. The web is brought in from the seam welded and flange storage racks. They are then moved to the tacking fixture where they are placed before tacking the beam's leading edge. A manual operator can load the flanges on conveyors, or an automated process using PHI’s flange-loading Gantry.

Frequently Asked Questions

A welded beam consists of three individual sections of steel – a web, a top flange and a bottom flange. These segments are merged together with deep fillet welds to create an incredibly robust building material.
